M&A Presentation Training

Convince investors. Maximise proceeds.

In the M&A process, it is not only the substance that decides — but who presents it convincingly.

Those who answer, lead.

What this is about

In capital markets and transaction situations, communication becomes a value question. Investors, analysts, lenders and buyer groups examine not only numbers and strategy. They examine management: credibility, clarity, resilience, team dynamics and the ability to represent an equity story convincingly.

SPARKPOINT has accompanied leadership teams through M&A processes, stock market listings and capital market transactions for 25 years. Our trainers know both sides: corporate communications and capital markets. Our track record includes the IPOs of Deutsche Telekom, Deutsche Post, Postbank and Fraport.

What is at stake

Investors do not only buy a business model — they buy the management that leads it. A convincing presentation is a direct lever on the transaction price. Those who convince in the coffee meeting, the fireside chat or the management presentation maximise trust — and thereby proceeds.

Who it is for
  • CEOs and CFOs in transaction processes
  • Leadership teams before management presentations
  • Investor relations professionals
  • Private equity management teams
  • Executives before IPO and roadshow
  • Advisors and investment bankers with presentation duties

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

When is M&A presentation training recommended?

+

As soon as a transaction process becomes concrete — at the latest with the start of the management presentation phase. The earlier training begins, the stronger the equity story and the more confident the management team in investor conversations. We recommend starting at least 4–6 weeks before the first management presentation.

What exactly is trained in M&A presentation training?

+

We train the entire communication around the transaction process: equity story storyline, structure and delivery of the management presentation, Q&A preparation, behaviour in investor conversations and roadshows, handling critical and provocative questions, and team impact in the room.

How early in the process should training begin?

+

Ideally we begin in parallel with the development of the equity story — before the management presentation is finalised. We can help develop storyline, argumentation and key messages in a way that convinces investors. This is more effective than subsequent revision.

Can training take place under NDA?

+

Yes. SPARKPOINT regularly works under strict confidentiality and on the basis of non-disclosure agreements. Transaction processes are sensitive — we are accustomed to handling confidential information.

Does the training also apply to IPOs and capital markets transactions?

+

Yes. In addition to M&A transactions, we also prepare for IPOs, secondary offerings, analyst days, shareholder meetings and other capital markets appearances. The requirements are similar — high visibility, critical audience, precise communication under pressure.
