Media Training

Confident in interviews. Clear in a crisis. Impactful in the media.

A single interview can be read, seen or heard by hundreds of thousands.

Confidence comes from excellent preparation, not from gut feeling.

What this is about

Media appearances are among the most demanding communication situations for executives. They require clarity, precision, control and presence — often under time pressure, in front of a running camera or in a critical journalistic environment. A good interview can build trust; a poor appearance cannot be undone.

SPARKPOINT has been preparing executives for exactly these situations for over two decades — with trainers who themselves come from journalism, TV and corporate communications. We know how newsrooms think, how journalists research and which answers produce headlines.

What is trained

In media training we simulate real interview situations: critical, provocative, surprising. Participants see live how their answers could become headlines — and learn to steer that. Camera work, answer structure, body language, facial expression, word choice and crisis reflexes are systematically trained.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

How does media training at SPARKPOINT work?

+

Every training begins with an analysis of your specific interview situation, your key messages and anticipated questions. We simulate real interview situations — critical, provocative, surprising. All appearances are recorded on camera and analysed in detail. The training ends only when you can enter any interview situation with confidence and impact.

Can SPARKPOINT prepare for a specific interview or press conference?

+

Yes. That is our core competency. We prepare executives specifically for upcoming TV interviews, press conferences, analyst conferences and other concrete media appointments — with specific questions, realistic scenarios and precise feedback.

How long does media training take?

+

SPARKPOINT offers media training in various formats — from an intensive half-day coaching session (4–5 hours) to multi-day training. For preparation before a specific appointment, we recommend at least a full day. The format is individually agreed to match your situation.

Is the media training confidential?

+

Yes. SPARKPOINT works with the highest discretion. All content, topics and training situations are confidential. NDAs on request. Many mandates arise in sensitive situations — M&A transactions, crisis situations, leadership transitions.

What is the difference between media training and TV training?

+

Media training at SPARKPOINT covers all media formats — print, online, radio, TV, press conferences and digital formats. TV training is a specialised module focusing specifically on camera appearances, on-screen body language, studio situations and behaviour in front of a running camera.
